I am seeking a senior design position with a professional strategic packaging and branding firm that can offer projects and opportunities that are aligned with my creativity, ambition, and high level of commitment.

Expanding and developing my design direction, project management, and strategic creative skills, I designed a comprehensive repackaging program for RadioShack's house brand line of products, and wrote and produced a 50-page book of guidelines for in-house production. Met with clients and wrote creative briefs, examining brand values and market positioning as a basis for design. Created design concepts for Chicken of the Sea, Bud Light, Ocean Garden Shrimp, McDonald's, and Wrigley's Winterfresh gum.

December 2000-January 2003
Art Director (contract), Apama Inc.  ·  Cambridge, England
I developed identity, marketing collateral, and trade show graphics for this business technology firm. Secured and managed all vendors. Designed and directed production of corporate website, and acted as liaison between marketing department and outsourced branding firm.

Utilizing exhaustive exploration and expanding my existing skill set, I designed web pages and banner ads and developed story boards for Flash and plasma screen animations. Created concepts for shuttle bus design wraps and large format posters.

February 1998-February 2000
Designer, SooHoo Design  ·  San Francisco
Developed and produced logos, P.O.P. displays, and package designs for LucasArts and Electronic Arts PC Game titles. Created the logo for The Sims, now the most popular title in PC gaming history; designed and oversaw production of displays and standees for multiple Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark game titles. Designed and illustrated labels for Galaxy Desserts cheesecake packages. Dealt directly with clients and vendors to manage projects.

March 1997-January 1998
Designer (contract), Galoob Toys  ·  San Francisco
Designed logos and packaging in-house for the nation's third largest toy company. Developed design and packaging system for The Spice Girls dolls and accessory packages, now highly collectible. Created logo concepts for Pound Puppies line, expanded Star Wars packaging into new product line, and created new packages for Micro Machines vehicles.

September 1995-October 1996
Junior Designer, The MacPhee Group  ·  Los Angeles
I honed my design and production skills in this fast-paced L.A. design agency, with a constant flow of new packaging projects for clients like Virgin Sound & Vision, Warner Home Entertainment, MCA and Fox Home Video. I designed several VHS package series for Warner cartoons including Bugs Bunny & Road Runner, Pinky & The Brain, and Animaniacs. Developed numerous P.O.P displays from concept to production and designed coupons, brochures and catalogs for home entertainment products.

Interests:

Travel, scuba diving, exploring ancient monuments. I am a long-time photographer and have shot album covers and press photos for several bands, and occasionally exhibit photos. I also love fast cars, roller coasters, and robot warfare.
