dark blue

a pool quivers blue light on
a face near mine
breathing my name
in amazement
So I want to cry
for the oasis of it,
the sweetness
But I do
only when I recall
the nightmares
the bad dreams of real life;
and the oasis is sweeter yet in contrast
and the pain greater than I expected
So I do
I cry bitterly
in the cocoon of safety
the nest of hair and arms
And everything's ok
but it's not, you know,
it's not
It hurts
But I'm safe for now
and I rest
after a while.
